CELEBRATE THE SEASON WITH THE YAMHILL-CARLTON DUO
The Willamette Valley’s warmest sub-AVA, Yamhill-Carlton produces ripe, full-bodied Pinot Noir with red and black fruit, tobacco, and structured tannins. This horseshoe-shaped region is protected from extreme weather by the Coast Range to the west, the Chehalem Mountains to the north, and the Dundee Hills to the east. We produce Pinot Noir from our Estate Vineyard here, as well as source fruit from just over the hill from the prized Shea Vineyard.
2019 Estate Vineyard Pinot Noir
Our Estate Vineyard faces southeast and was carefully planted with specific rootstocks and clones to optimize individual blocks and their unique soils. This bottling is on the decadent side. Black cherry, warm plum, and raspberry chocolate truffle cocoon within a perfume of sweet oak, while structured tannins carry savory barrel notes to a lengthy finish. Summon the sunset, put your feet up, and savor a glass.

2019 Shea Vineyard Pinot Noir
Referred to as an Oregon “Grand Cru” site, the Shea Vineyard provides us with a rich diversity of Pinot Noir clones that lend a signature spice and structure to this wine. Sweet oak and tobacco dance around notes of raspberry, plum, and fruit punch. This sweet and supple attack is balanced by a fresh line of acidity. A beautiful pour for your holiday meal and requisite post-dinner relaxation by the fire.
