We were able to use soil surveys to choose the clone placement in the vineyards. We chose the 114 on sedimentary soils looking for spiciness. The 115 on volcanic soils to provide us with up front juicy fruit and the Pommard for the mid-mouth feel and texture that is so important in Pinot noir. We have rounded out our 15 acres with Dijon 667 and 777 as each brings a lovely red and black fresh fruit note to wines. Our Estate Vineyard is both L.I.V.E. and Salmon Safe certified.
