Kelly Halverson

Kelly Halverson was fortunate to have grown up in Oregon’s wine country.  She rode her horses through most of what now is covered in vines.  Her love of the area, the small farmers, and the community is now joined with her strong appreciation of the Pinot Noirs and other varietals the Willamette Valley has to offer.  Her background in the hospitality world is extensive and diverse, leading her to the wine industry as wine buyer and manager at Sip wine & bistro for the three years.  While working with the wineries and industry workers, Kelly took full advantage of the opportunities that her position bestowed upon her.  A wine tour in Italy gave her an appreciating for the extensive list of varietals the beautiful country had to offer (her favorite region being Piedmonte).  She hopes her next visit to Europe will be to tour Spain’s wine regions or France, specifically Burgundy.

When Kelly is not learning about wine and the process of making it, she can be found riding one of her two horses around the Dundee hills, gardening, trying new recipes, satisfying her foodie tendencies in local or Portland restaurants, cheering with her fellow alumni for University of Oregon’s Ducks, or just reading a good book.
